Technical Project Manager – Tukwila

RPI is looking for a Technical Project Manager with a technical understanding of Prepress/print production and XML Web services. This person will define and drive the process of integrating third party clients and products onto the RPI API-driven print platform and develop standardized specifications, checklists and sample timelines for implementation.

This position is hands on and will require pre-flighting of digital files and making sure products are physically prototyped/tested and deployed efficiently. The ideal candidate must have a strong knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite. Knowledge of digital printing and bindery is highly desired. We are looking for someone who is results-driven with strong communication, management and organizational skills.

Qualified candidates for this position must have the following skills and experience:
* 3 -5 years of industry experience in project / product management role
* 2+ years printing/fulfillment or manufacturing experience
* Demonstrated experience in gathering corporate and design requirements into a physical product
* Ability to work diplomatically with clients and internal at a variety of levels and across functions, and manage client expectations to ensure client satisfaction
* Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment
* Strong analytical ability to evaluate and prioritize opportunities
* Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, Visio and Sharepoint
* Experience and/or familiarity with the following pre-press technology: PostScript, PDF, XML, JDF, imposition and preflight software
* BA/BS



Additional skills and experience that will be a plus:
* Understanding of the digital photography industry
* Experience with Digital Front Ends (DFEs) and RIP technology
* Knowledge of Lean and Six Sixma would be a big plus
* Strong knowledge of latest printing technologies and trends
* Proficient with at least one scripting language, Perl, VB script, Java Script, python or other.
